Kelaty House, London
Kelaty House is a 300-bed apart-hotel for Citadines and 699-bed student accommodation scheme arranged across five buildings ranging in height from 4 to 13 storeys, located within the immediate vicinity of Wembley Football Stadium.
The project, sits within the Wembley Park regeneration area and has been developed from an original design by Simpson, Haugh & Partners. It has 610 student cluster rooms and 89 studios, including a number that are adaptable and accessible. The scheme includes a substantial landscaped external communal courtyard with a basement car park below.
The external-facing elevations will receive dark grey terracotta cladding with a mix of flat, textured, matt and glazed finishes to create visual interest and a sense of movement between the blocks. The internal courtyard elevations will comprise of aluminium panels with a ‘super graphic’ motif, creating a bold identity for the scheme.
Graham Grabski led the EMMAUS team and was responsible for all the pre-contract cost management and procurement of the project.
